Mission Statement:

The Olathe Police Foundation will assist, encourage, and support the Olathe Police Department with funding and collaboration in their programs, research studies, equipment needs, and education. We encourage and support community awareness and skill development to strengthen the partnership between the men and women of the Olathe Police Department and the citizens they serve.

Facts about the Olathe Police Foundation:
Since a majority of the Olathe Police Department’s annual budget is earmarked for personnel expenditures, leaving few budget dollars for innovation, the Olathe Police Foundation assists the Department in keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology, training techniques, and strategies.  The Foundation supports Programs for the Olathe Police Department that its operating budget cannot readily fund.

The Olathe Police Foundation was established in 2003 by members of the Olathe community business and civic leaders. The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to strengthen the services of the Olathe Police Department in an effort to improve public safety.
