About Us

Facts about the Olathe Police Foundation:
The Olathe Police Foundation, as the only non-budget affiliated, authorized fund raising source for the Olathe Police Department, does not solicit donations via the telephone or through the use of telemarketers.

The Foundation supports Programs for the Olathe Police Department that its operating budget cannot readily fund.

Since a majority of the Olathe Police Department’s annual budget is earmarked for personnel expenditures, leaving few budget dollars for innovation, the Olathe Police Foundation assists the Department in keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology, training techniques, and strategies.

Mission Statement:

The Olathe Police Foundation will assist, encourage, and support the Olathe Police Department with funding and collaboration in their programs, research studies, equipment needs, and education. We encourage and support community awareness and skill development to strengthen the partnership between the men and women of the Olathe Police Department and the citizens they serve.

The Olathe Police Foundation was established in 2006 by members of the Olathe community business and civic leaders. The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to strengthen the services of the Olathe Police Department in an effort to improve public safety.
